Blessings to you all! I am Father Mike Matusz and grateful to be the Pastor of this wonderful parish community of Our Lady of Victory . . . and grateful to be a priest in the Roman Catholic Church serving the Diocese of Cleveland. At the time of my ordination to the priesthood, I was considered a "delayed" vocation, but, the truth is, God works through all of us no matter when . . . even if our response to God's invitation may be, based on human standards, "delayed". I was ordained in 1989, and have been privileged to serve as Pastor at Our Lady of Victory since October 1, 2013. I have my roots in Northeast Ohio, and absolutely love the Tallmadge/Akron area, having served as Pastor of the former Saint Martha (now Blessed Trinity) Parish from 1999-2009, then, serving as Pastor at Saints Peter and Paul in Garfield Heights, and now returning back to this area. I have also been a member of the Pastoral Team of Our Lady Help of Christians in Litchfield; Saint Mary Magdalene in Willowick; and Pastor of the former Saint Timothy (now, Holy Spirit) in Garfield Heights, as well as serving as part-time Hospital Chaplain and part-time Parochial Vicar at Saint Monica in Garfield Heights. But, as Dorothy says in the "Wizard of Oz", "There's no place like home.", and I am very much at home, here at Our Lady of Victory.
